The website is now a specialist holiday company’s number one direct touch point for both new and existing clients, and clients are becoming increasingly demanding of websites as technology and connection speeds improve. The importance of online marketing techniques has never been so great, as companies look for more cost effective ways of getting their messages direct to their market.

Brief

Explore Worldwide – Europe’s leading small group adventure holiday business wanted to improve the performance of their online marketing by increasing the conversion rate of their website.
Explore asked Mr Zen to analyse their online performance, and manage a project to implement the changes.

Solution

After a short investigative period, the a plan was drawn up to address the following items:

• Reliability problems were investigated, adequate monitoring setup and issues resolved.
• The website underwent a complete rebuild of the database and integration with their reservation system.
• The website was completely redesigned, and brought in line with Explore’s brand strategy.
• The usability of the website was improved with usability best practice and improved performance of the databases.
• The booking process integration was revived and made more reliable.
• Browser compatibility and accessibility was improved.

All of these changes were performed using the current systems in order to keep the project as cost effective as possible. Mr Zen worked with Explore’s existing development company and marketing team to deliver a new site in time for the January selling season.
